Gujarat Titans Appoint Matthew Hayden as Batting Coach Ahead of IPL 2026
Gujarat Titans have appointed former Australia opener Matthew Hayden as their batting coach ahead of the Indian Premier League 2026 season.
The World Cup-winning batter brings vast international experience, having scored over 15,000 runs in 273 matches for Australia national cricket team. Gujarat Titans’ Director of Cricket Vikram Solanki said Hayden’s experience and mentoring ability will help shape the franchise’s batting approach in the coming seasons. Hayden, known for his aggressive and technically strong style, also played 32 IPL matches during his career.
Expressing excitement about the role, Hayden said the team aims to set high standards with a batting philosophy focused on putting consistent pressure on opponents.
