Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have signed Saurabh Dubey as a replacement for injured Akash Deep ahead of IPL 2026. The 28-year-old left-arm pacer from Vidarbha, who was previously with Sunrisers Hyderabad, is yet to make his IPL debut.
Former selector Subroto Banerjee praised Dubey’s ability to generate bounce and swing. Dubey, who was part of India’s 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup squad under Coach Rahul Dravid, has already joined the KKR camp.
The franchise is yet to decide on a replacement for Harshit Rana. Dubey had gone unsold in the 2025 mini-auction and last played domestic cricket in 2023-24.
