JSK Win Historic First SA20 Super Over Thriller at the Wanderers

New Year’s Day 2026 produced a historic first Super Over in SA20 as Joburg Super Kings edged Durban’s Super Giants in a Wanderers thriller.

Both sides finished on 205, sealed by Donovan Ferreira’s last-ball run-out of Eathan Bosch. Richard Gleeson then held his nerve to concede only five runs in the Super Over before JSK cruised home, Rilee Rossouw striking two boundaries. Earlier, Shubham Ranjane’s unbeaten 50 powered JSK, while Ferreira added 33 off 10.

Despite Noor Ahmad’s brilliant 3/12, DSG’s seamers leaked heavily, leaving JSK unbeaten and top after three consecutive victories in the competition this season so far.
