Hazlewood Set to Miss Early T20 World Cup Matches
Australia suffered a double injury scare ahead of the Ashes as Josh Hazlewood and Sean Abbott left the field during the match against Victoria at the SCG.
Both pacers bowled nine overs before being sidelined with hamstring injuries, the severity of which remains unknown. Hazlewood’s fitness is a major concern given his recent injury record, while captain Pat Cummins is already out of the first Test with a back issue.
Scott Boland is set to replace Cummins, and Brendan Doggett could debut if Hazlewood is ruled out. Hazlewood and Abbott had earlier impressed, taking key wickets before their setbacks.
