Jaiswal’s Maiden ODI Century Powers India to 9-Wicket Win and 2-1 Series Victory
India sealed the ODI series 2-1 after Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed his maiden ODI century in a commanding nine-wicket win over South Africa in Visakhapatnam.
Chasing 271, India cruised home with Jaiswal’s unbeaten 116, a 155-run stand with Rohit Sharma (75), and Virat Kohli’s fluent 65*. Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna took four wickets each to bowl out South Africa for 270 despite Quinton de Kock’s 106. Jaiswal, now with centuries in all formats, accelerated brilliantly after a cautious start. Rohit crossed 20,000 international runs, becoming the fourth Indian to do so. The teams now prepare for a five-match T20 series.
