Jacob Duffy Takes Five As NZ Beat West Indies For 1-0 Test Series Lead
Jacob Duffy took five wickets as New Zealand thrashed West Indies by nine wickets in the second Test at Wellington, taking a 1-0 series lead. Duffy’s 5-38 helped bowl out the visitors for 128 in their second innings, while debutant Michael Rae claimed 3-45. Devon Conway (28) and Kane Williamson (16) guided New Zealand to a comfortable chase of 56 runs in just 9.2 overs.
West Indies’ batting faltered, with Kavem Hodge top-scoring at 35. The first Test in Christchurch ended in a draw, and the third Test is scheduled in Mount Maunganui next Thursday.
