Shafali Verma’s Unbeaten 69 Powers India Women to Dominant 7-Wicket Win Over Sri Lanka, Seal 2-0

India Women cruised to a commanding seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka Women to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series at Vizag, finishing the chase with 49 balls to spare.

After disciplined bowling restricted Sri Lanka to 128/9, with Shree Charani (2/23) and Vaishnavi Sharma (2/32) leading the attack, opener Shafali Verma stole the show with a stunning unbeaten 69 off just 34 balls. Jemimah Rodrigues supported with a blazing 26 off 15 as India raced to 129/3 in 11.5 overs. Earlier, Chamari Athapaththu (32) and Harshitha Samarawickrama (33) top-scored for Sri Lanka, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a dominant Indian victory.
