India vs England Semifinal Showdown: Key Stats for Wankhede Clash

India will take on England in the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This marks the third straight edition in which the two sides clash in the last four, following semi-final meetings in 2022 and 2024.

In 2022, England knocked India out before lifting the title. In 2024, Rohit Sharma’s India reversed the script, defeating England in the semi-final and going on to beat South Africa in the final.

Historically, India and England have met five times in T20 World Cups, with India holding a slight 3-2 edge.

At Wankhede, India have won five of seven T20Is and remain unbeaten there since 2017, setting the stage for another high-stakes showdown.
