Australia’s first-choice pace attack will reunite after more than a year, with Josh Hazlewood preferred over Scott Boland for the opening Test against Bangladesh in Darwin.
Captain Pat Cummins confirmed Hazlewood’s return to international cricket after his last appearance in October. Nathan Lyon also returns after his Ashes campaign was ended by a hamstring injury. Cummins praised Lyon’s recent form and fitness. Cameron Green will bat at No. 5, with Alex Carey at No. 6 and Beau Webster at No. 7.
Jake Weatherald will continue opening alongside Travis Head. Cummins said Boland remains highly rated and should get opportunities soon.
