Harry Brook Reaffirms England Commitment Ahead of India T20I Series
England captain Harry Brook has reiterated his commitment to international cricket ahead of the first T20I against India in Durham.
Brook revealed he has deliberately skipped franchise leagues, including the IPL and PSL, to focus entirely on representing England across all three formats. England have made two changes to the side that lost to India in the 2026 T20 World Cup semifinals, with Saqib Mahmood and Luke Wood replacing Jamie Overton and the rested Jofra Archer. Brook also dismissed speculation surrounding England’s future Test captaincy, insisting he is simply grateful to play for his country.
England begin the three-match T20I series against India on Wednesday at Chester-le-Street.
England Squad: Phil Salt, Jos Buttler, Harry Brook (captain), Jacob Bethell, Tom Banton, Sam Curran, Will Jacks, Liam Dawson, Saqib Mahmood, Adil Rashid, Luke Wood.
