Harmanpreet to lead India in Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

Harmanpreet Kaur will captain India women’s national cricket team for the fifth time in the Women’s T20 World Cup as selectors named a 15-member squad for the 2026 edition in England and Wales.

Veteran opener Smriti Mandhana has been named vice-captain, while wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia and spinner Radha Yadav return to the T20I setup.

Uncapped pacer Nandani Sharma earned her maiden call-up after an impressive Women’s Premier League season. India begin their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan women’s national cricket team on June 14 in Birmingham, aiming to win their first-ever T20 World Cup title.
