Despite losing to Alpine SG Pipers earlier, wins from Alexandra Kosteniuk, Wei Yi, and Vidit Gujarathi ensured the defending champions retained their lead with 15 match points. Gukesh’s solid rook-pawn endgame win brought Knights close, but Vidit sealed the contest by beating Leinier Dominguez.

Meanwhile, Mumba Masters stayed firmly in contention with an 11–6 victory over Ganges Grandmasters, keeping the leaderboard battle intense.
