FIDE World Cup 2025 Round 4
Indian Grandmasters Arjun Erigaisi, Karthik Venkataraman, and P. Harikrishna drew their games with black pieces, while R. Praggnanandhaa survived a tense encounter with Daniil Dubov in Round 4 of the FIDE World Cup 2025 in Panaji.
Arjun held Hungarian veteran Peter Leko to a 20-move draw, Harikrishna split points with Nils Grandelius in 32 moves, and Karthik shared honours with Le Quang Liem in 36. Praggnanandhaa, under time pressure after an early error, managed a draw after 41 moves. Elsewhere, Levon Aronian and Jose Martinez won their games. The return legs will decide the pre-quarterfinal lineup.
