FC Goa beat NorthEast United 2-0 to climb to second in ISL standings
FC Goa continued their impressive run in the Indian Super League with a 2-0 win over NorthEast United FC in Guwahati.
Dejan Drazic opened the scoring in the 20th minute after a clever assist from Muhammed Nemil, giving the Gaurs an early advantage. Despite pressure from NorthEast, Goa’s defence, led by Sandesh Jhingan, stayed solid throughout. Substitute Mohammed Yasir sealed the win with a stoppage-time goal. Captain Sandesh Jhingan, who delivered a commanding performance at the back, was named the Player of the Match.
The victory lifted Goa to second place with 19 points from 10 matches.
