Errani-Vavassori Defend French Open Mixed Doubles Crown
Italian duo Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori successfully defended their French Open mixed doubles title with a 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 victory over Gabriela Dabrowski and Evan King on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
The top-seeded Italians recovered after losing the opening set and dominated the championship tiebreak to secure their second consecutive Roland Garros mixed doubles crown. The win made them the first pair since 2019 to retain the title and extended their unbeaten record in Grand Slam mixed doubles finals.
For Errani, it marked a 10th Grand Slam title across women’s and mixed doubles, while Vavassori collected his fourth major mixed doubles trophy in an outstanding partnership.
