England came from behind to defeat India 4-2 in their second Pool D match of the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2026 in Amstelveen on Monday.
Nicholas Bandurak scored twice, while Stuart Rushmere and Henry Croft added one goal each as England overturned a 1-2 half-time deficit. India captain Harmanpreet Singh converted a penalty corner before Dilpreet Singh finished a well-worked move to put India ahead. England responded strongly after the break, with Rushmere levelling in the 39th minute and Croft putting England ahead four minutes later.
Bandurak then sealed the victory with his second goal from a penalty corner in the 55th minute. The result confirmed England’s top-two finish in Pool D. India will next face Pakistan in their final pool match.
