Dewald Brevis Hits Unbeaten 75 as South Africa Beat Zimbabwe by 7 Wickets
Dewald Brevis produced another explosive innings as South Africa bounced back from their shock defeat to Namibia by beating Zimbabwe by seven wickets in the T20I tri-series in Windhoek on Saturday.
Zimbabwe, after opting to bat, posted 144/8 in 20 overs, with Brian Bennett top-scoring with 34. South Africa chased down the target in just 13.4 overs, finishing on 146/3 with 38 balls to spare. Batting at No.3, Brevis continued his sensational form by smashing an unbeaten 75 off only 32 balls, including seven fours and six sixes.
The 23-year-old also hit the winning runs with an outside edge for four off Brad Evans. Brevis had scored 75 in South Africa’s previous match against Namibia, although his effort ended in defeat.
