Desert Vipers clinched a thrilling win in ILT20’s first-ever Super Over, edging the Gulf Giants after both teams scored 179.
Dan Lawrence (56) and Sam Curran (44) kept the Vipers alive before Vriitya Aravind forced the tie. Earlier, Pathum Nissanka (56) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (41) powered the Giants, while Azmatullah Omarzai shone with 4/32. Lawrence struck 10 in the Super Over as the Vipers set 13, and Naseem Shah’s tight bowling sealed the victory, giving the Vipers their sixth straight win over the Giants and third of the season.
