Chennai beat Lucknow as Urvil Patel smashes joint-fastest IPL fifty

Chennai Super Kings registered their third straight win in IPL 2026, defeating Lucknow Super Giants by five wickets at Chepauk.

Urvil Patel starred with a sensational 65 off 23 balls, including the joint-fastest fifty in IPL history off just 13 balls, equalling Yashasvi Jaiswal’s record. Earlier, Josh Inglis smashed 85 to help LSG post 203/8, but Jamie Overton’s 3/36 kept them in check.

CSK chased down the target with four balls to spare, with Shivam Dube sealing the win in style.
