Cameron Green Becomes IPL’s Most Expensive Overseas Player at Rs 25.20 Crore
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green created history at the IPL auction in Etihad Arena after being snapped up by Kolkata Knight Riders for a massive Rs 25.20 crore, making him the most expensive overseas player ever.
He surpassed the previous record held by Mitchell Starc (Rs 24.75 crore). Overall, Green is now the third costliest IPL buy after Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. The bidding started at his Rs 2 crore base price, with Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings and KKR involved. KKR finally sealed the deal after an intense battle.
