Brazil and Morocco shared the points in an entertaining 1-1 draw in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group C clash at New York Stadium.
Morocco, semifinalists at the 2022 World Cup, took the lead through Ismael Saibari after a brilliant through ball from Brahim Diaz split the Brazilian defence. Brazil responded quickly as Vinicius Jr produced a stunning individual effort, cutting inside before unleashing a powerful strike beyond goalkeeper Yassine Bounou. Both sides created chances in the second half, with Bounou making crucial saves to deny Lucas Paqueta and Raphinha.
The draw marked the first time a Brazil match featuring a Vinicius Jr goal did not end in victory, while Morocco earned a valuable point against one of the tournament favourites.
