Bangladesh Shock Australia by 86 Runs in Dhaka as Mosaddek, Rana Shine

Bangladesh produced a memorable all-round performance to defeat Australia by 86 runs via the DLS method in the first ODI in Dhaka, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Returning to international cricket after four years, Mosaddek Hossain starred with an unbeaten 86 and later claimed two wickets. Fast bowler Nahid Rana tore through Australia’s batting line-up with figures of 4/41, helping dismiss the visitors to 191/9 before rain ended the contest.

Bangladesh had earlier posted 284/8, with valuable contributions from Najmul Hossain Shanto (67) and Tanzid Hasan Tamim (54). Australia struggled from 2/2, with only Cameron Green offering resistance through an unbeaten 52.
