Bangladesh Close In On Historic Test Series Win Over Pakistan In Sylhet

Bangladesh moved within touching distance of a historic Test series victory over Pakistan after an absorbing fourth day in Sylhet.

Chasing a daunting 437-run target, Pakistan ended the day at 316/7, still requiring 121 runs with only three wickets remaining. Spinner Taijul Islam starred for the hosts with figures of 4/113, removing key batters including Babar Azam and captain Shan Masood. Pakistan fought back through a determined 134-run partnership between Mohammad Rizwan (75*) and Salman Agha (71), briefly reviving hopes of a record chase.

However, late wickets swung momentum back towards Bangladesh, who now stand on the brink of securing their first-ever home Test series win over Pakistan and a second consecutive series triumph against them.
