Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa claimed four wickets each as Australia crushed Ireland by 67 runs in their T20 World Cup 2026 opener at the R. Premadasa Stadium.
Chasing 182, Ireland collapsed to 115 all out in 16.5 overs despite George Dockrell’s 41. Ellis triggered the slide with three quick strikes, while Zampa dismantled the middle order. Earlier, Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Renshaw guided Australia to 182/6 after brisk contributions from Josh Inglis and Cameron Green.
