Rutherford, Spinners Shine as West Indies Beat England by 30 Runs

Sherfane Rutherford’s explosive 76 not out and a superb spin display from Gudakesh Motie and Roston Chase powered West Indies to a 30-run win over England in T20 World Cup 2026 at Mumbai.

After early setbacks, Rutherford anchored the innings with two vital half-century partnerships, lifting West Indies to 196/6. In reply, England started briskly but lost momentum against disciplined spin.

Motie claimed 3-33 while Chase took 2-29 to bowl England out for 166 in 19 overs. The victory pushed West Indies to the top of Group C.
