Australia have recalled skipper Pat Cummins and veteran spinner Nathan Lyon to their playing XI for the crucial third Test at Adelaide Oval.
Cummins returns for his first Test since mid-year against the West Indies, confirming he is fully fit and free of bowling restrictions. Michael Neser and Brendan Doggett miss out despite Australia’s Gabba win. Selectors persisted with Travis Head and Jake Weatherald as openers, leaving out Usman Khawaja.
Cummins backed Khawaja, insisting his international career is not over. Josh Inglis retains his spot, batting at No.7.
