She will next face No. 16 seed Ekaterina Alexandrova. Two-time champion Jessica Pegula also progressed with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Kamilla Rakhimova.

Amanda Anisimova overcame Nikola Bartunkova 3-6, 6-0, 6-4 after receiving a second-round walkover. Meanwhile, Alexandra Eala and Venus Williams exited the doubles event after losing to Liudmila Samsonova and Miyu Kato.
