Afghanistan Beat Zimbabwe by 7 wickets in 2nd T20I
Spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman’s 4-20 and pacer Azmatullah Omarzai’s 3-29 powered Afghanistan to a 53-run win over Zimbabwe in the first T20I at Harare Sports Club on Wednesday.
Batting first, Afghanistan posted 180-6 with Ibrahim Zadran (52) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (39) adding 76 for the opening stand. Zimbabwe crumbled to 30-5 and were eventually bowled out for 127, with Tinotenda Maposa (32) offering late resistance. Captain Sikandar Raza claimed 3-20 for Zimbabwe, while Blessing Muzarabani took 2-41.
Afghanistan lead the three-match series 1-0, with the next games scheduled for Friday and Sunday ahead of the T20 World Cup.
