Abdullah Shafique century vs West Indies
Abdullah Shafique marked his return to Pakistan’s Test side with a superb unbeaten century as Pakistan reached 266/2 in reply to West Indies’ 344 on day two of the second Test in Trinidad.
Recalled after Shan Masood’s injury, Shafique scored an unbeaten 107, while captain Babar Azam remained not out on 86 as the duo stitched together a commanding 168-run partnership for the third wicket. Earlier, West Indies added 109 runs to their overnight total, finishing on 344, with Justin Greaves making 73 and skipper Roston Chase scoring 70.
Off-spinner Sajid Khan claimed 4/85 for Pakistan. The visitors trail by just 78 runs with eight wickets in hand.
