Fresh off defending his Wimbledon crown, Jannik Sinner said his latest Grand Slam title carries special significance after overcoming the disappointment of his Roland Garros defeat.
The World No. 1 defeated Alexander Zverev 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4 to win his second consecutive Wimbledon title and fifth Grand Slam trophy. Sinner admitted the road to the title demanded major sacrifices but said every Grand Slam has its own unique meaning. The Italian also praised Zverev’s continued improvement and expressed hope that Carlos Alcaraz returns strongly, adding that tennis benefits from fierce rivalries.
Since the start of the 2024 season, Sinner has captured all five of his Grand Slam titles, further cementing his dominance in men’s tennis.
