Linda Noskova captured her maiden Grand Slam title after defeating fellow Czech Karolina Muchova 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 in the Wimbledon 2026 women’s singles final.
The ninth seed dominated the opening set before Muchova fought back to level the match, but Noskova held her nerve in the decider to seal victory after six championship points. The 21-year-old fired 10 aces, won 74% of her first-serve points and converted four break points in a commanding display. She became the youngest Wimbledon women’s singles champion since Petra Kvitova in 2011 and only the second Czech woman to win her Grand Slam debut final at Wimbledon.
The triumph also lifts Noskova to a projected career-high world No. 7 in the WTA rankings.
