France booked their place in a third consecutive FIFA World Cup semi-final with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Morocco at Boston Stadium.
Kylian Mbappe overcame a first-half penalty miss to inspire Les Bleus, scoring the opening goal in the 60th minute before providing the assist for Ousmane Dembele’s decisive strike. Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou denied Mbappe from the spot before halftime, but the French captain responded in style after the break. Mbappe’s goal was his eighth of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and helped him become the first player to be involved in 100+ goals for France (64 goals, 37 assists).
France will now face either Belgium or Spain in the semi-finals as they continue their quest for a third World Cup title.
