Wolvaardt’s unbeaten 92 seals series win for South Africa Women
A sensational century from Laura Wolvaardt guided the South Africa women’s cricket team to a record nine-wicket win over the India, sealing a 3-0 series lead.
Chasing 193, Wolvaardt smashed a brilliant 115 off 53 balls, while Sune Luus added a composed 57 in a dominant opening stand.
Earlier, India posted 192/4 on the back of half-centuries from Harmanpreet Kaur (66) and Shafali Verma (64). However, poor fielding and lack of bowling discipline cost India dearly as South Africa chased down the target in just 16.3 overs. The emphatic win highlights the hosts’ dominance and keeps India searching for answers in the series.
