WI vs SL 1st Test: Dhananjaya De Silva’s Century Rescues Sri Lanka On Tough Day Against West Indies

Sri Lanka captain Dhananjaya de Silva scored a brilliant 120 to guide his team to 308 all out on the opening day of the first Test against West Indies at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua.

Sri Lanka were in early trouble at 42-3 before de Silva steadied the innings with crucial partnerships alongside Dinesh Chandimal (54) and Sonal Dinusha (43). His 13th Test century came off 168 balls with 17 fours.

West Indies pacer Justin Greaves claimed three wickets, while Kemar Roach took two. The hosts will resume batting on day two after surviving the final over without loss.
