Kalinga Lancers Edge Bengal Tigers in Late HIL Thriller

Vedanta Kalinga Lancers claimed their second successive win in the Men’s Hockey India League 2025–26 with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Shrachi Bengal Tigers in Chennai.

After three goalless quarters marked by strong defensive play and excellent goalkeeping from Krishan Bahadur Pathak, the match burst into life late on. Alexander Hendrickx broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute before Affan Yousuf equalised for the Tigers.

The Lancers responded immediately, with Boby Singh Dhami converting from close range in the 57th minute to seal all three points and lift his side to second on the table.
