Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 97, Jofra Archer’s fiery spell send RR into Qualifier 2

Teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi produced a breathtaking 97 off just 28 balls as Rajasthan Royals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 47 runs in the IPL 2026 Eliminator at New Chandigarh.

The 15-year-old smashed a 16-ball fifty and broke multiple records while powering RR to a massive 243/8. Dhruv Jurel added a quickfire half-century as RR dominated the knockout clash. In reply, SRH launched an aggressive chase through Ishan Kishan and Travis Head, but Jofra Archer turned the game with crucial wickets of Abhishek Sharma, Kishan, and Head. Archer’s hostile spell shattered SRH’s top order, while Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with three wickets to bowl Hyderabad out for 196 in 19.2 overs.

Rajasthan Royals now advance to Qualifier 2 against Gujarat Titans.
