Travis Head Hits Fourth Consecutive Adelaide Century as Australia Tighten Grip on Ashes
Travis Head produced another Adelaide Oval masterclass, smashing an unbeaten 142 as Australia built a commanding 356-run lead over England on day three of the third Test.
Australia closed at 271/4, with Head well supported by Alex Carey, who reached a composed 52*. Earlier, England were bowled out for 286 despite a spirited 83 from Ben Stokes and a fighting 51 from Jofra Archer. With the highest successful chase at Adelaide just 316, England face an almost impossible task to stay alive in the Ashes. Head’s century, his fourth in as many Tests at the venue, has put Australia firmly on the brink.
