Suryakumar Yadav confident of run return despite lean patch

India captain Suryakumar Yadav admitted he is searching for runs but remained confident of returning to his best touch after India’s seven-wicket win over South Africa in the third T20I at Dharamsala.

Suryakumar fell for 12 as India sealed the chase to take a 2-1 series lead. He said he has been batting well in the nets and is not out of form, but “out of runs.” Reflecting on the turnaround from the Chandigarh defeat, Suryakumar credited a return to basics for the improved performance. He added that India will enjoy the win before preparing for the Lucknow clash, where a victory would seal the series.
