Teboho Mokoena
South Africa came from behind to secure a valuable 1-1 draw against Czechia in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group A encounter at Atlanta Stadium.
Czechia took an early lead in the sixth minute when Michal Sadilek finished a well-worked move, scoring the fastest goal of the tournament so far. South Africa pushed for an equaliser throughout the second half and were rewarded in the 83rd minute when Teboho Mokoena calmly converted a penalty after a handball by Pavel Sulc.
The result earned South Africa their first point of the tournament, while both teams remain in contention heading into their final group-stage matches.
