Smriti Mandhana Hits Record 124 as India Beat Hong Kong-China by 137 Runs
Smriti Mandhana smashed a record 124 off 64 balls as India thrashed Hong Kong-China by 137 runs in their Women’s T20 Asia Cup Group A match in Dubai.
Mandhana’s second T20I century, featuring 14 fours and seven sixes, helped India post 193/5 after Hong Kong-China chose to field. Her innings also took her international run tally past Mithali Raj and made her the leading century-maker in women’s international cricket. Shafali Verma contributed 28 as India dominated the powerplay. Hong Kong-China struggled in reply and were bowled out for 56 in 16.2 overs.
Deepti Sharma led India’s attack with 3/9, while Nandani Sharma, Shree Charani and Prema Rawat claimed two wickets each. The victory gave India their second Group A win.
