Shreyas Iyer Hits Maiden IPL Century As PBKS Beat LSG To Stay Alive
Shreyas Iyer smashed his maiden IPL century as Punjab Kings defeated Lucknow Super Giants by seven wickets to keep their IPL 2027 playoff hopes alive.
Chasing 197 in Lucknow, Iyer remained unbeaten on 101 off 51 balls, while Prabhsimran Singh played a vital knock of 69 off 39 deliveries in a match-winning 140-run partnership. Punjab recovered brilliantly after losing two early wickets, with Iyer dominating the chase through elegant strokeplay and powerful hitting. Earlier, Josh Inglis scored 72 and Ayush Badoni added 43 to help LSG post 196/6, but Punjab comfortably chased down the target in 18 overs.
