Shreyas Iyer praises RR duo after Punjab Kings suffer first loss

Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer credited Donovan Ferreira and Shubham Dubey for their match-winning partnership after Rajasthan Royals handed PBKS their first defeat of the Indian Premier League.

Despite posting a formidable 222/4, powered by Marcus Stoinis’ unbeaten 62, Punjab failed to contain Rajasthan’s late surge as Ferreira and Dubey stitched an unbeaten 77-run stand off just 32 balls. Iyer admitted the bowlers fell short in execution, particularly with yorkers and slower deliveries, but backed his team to recover quickly.

He also praised spinner Harpreet Brar for his economical spell on a challenging surface.
