Satwik–Chirag Exit BWF World Tour Finals After Semi-Final Defeat
India’s star duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty bowed out of the BWF World Tour Finals 2025 after losing 21-10, 17-21, 15-21 to China’s Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang in the semi-finals.
The Indian pair dominated the first game convincingly but the Chinese duo fought back strongly to clinch the next two games and seal the contest. Satwik–Chirag, ranked world No.3, ended their impressive campaign with a bronze. India continues to have only two medals at the BWF World Tour Finals, with PV Sindhu remaining the country’s only gold medallist, winning the 2018 women’s singles title.
