Satwik-Chirag Finish Runners-Up At Thailand Open 2026

India’s star men’s doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty finished runners-up at the Thailand Open 2026 after losing to Indonesia’s Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin in the final on Sunday.

The top-seeded Indian duo went down 21-12, 25-23 in a closely contested 53-minute clash at Bangkok’s Nimibutr Stadium. Satwik and Chirag struggled in the opening game as the Indonesians dominated early exchanges. However, the Indians produced a spirited comeback in the second game, saving five championship points before narrowly losing 25-23.

Earlier, Satwik and Chirag had entered their first final of the 2026 season after defeating Malaysia’s Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin in a thrilling semifinal. The result marked another strong campaign for India’s top-ranked doubles pair.
