Satwik-Chirag Reach China Masters Final After Thrilling Semi-Final Win
India’s top-ranked men’s doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty reached the China Masters final after defeating Malaysia’s Nur Mohd Azriyn and Tan Wee Kiong 21-16, 18-21, 21-11 in the semifinals at Shenzhen Arena.
The victory gave the ‘Smash Bros’ their third final appearance at the event since 2023. Satwik-Chirag recovered from an early 0-5 deficit by winning seven straight points and taking the opening game. After Malaysia forced a decider, the Indians dominated the third game to seal victory in 66 minutes. They will face either Tee Kai Wun/Yap Roy King or China’s He Ji Ting/Ren Xiang Yu in the final.
