Rishabh Pant rues missed opportunity as Lucknow Super Giants fall to Mumbai Indians
Rishabh Pant admitted Lucknow Super Giants let a strong start slip away after their six-wicket defeat to Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026 at Wankhede Stadium.
LSG raced to 90/1 in the powerplay thanks to explosive knocks from Nicholas Pooran (63) and Mitchell Marsh (44), but Pant felt his team fell 10-15 runs short despite finishing on 228/5.
Mumbai chased the target comfortably, powered by Rohit Sharma (84) and Ryan Rickelton (83). Pant backed his bowlers, saying the batting unit needed to convert a flying start into a bigger total.
