Rishabh Pant admits batting woes after Lucknow Super Giants slump

Rishabh Pant conceded that Lucknow Super Giants’ batting unit has been underperforming after their 40-run defeat to Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026.

Chasing 160, LSG were bowled out for 119, marking their fourth straight loss despite strong spells from Mohammed Shami and Mohsin Khan. Pant admitted the team needed to “find answers within” and take more responsibility as a batting group. Meanwhile, RR skipper Riyan Parag praised his bowlers for adapting to conditions and defending a modest total with discipline. He also highlighted the team’s flexibility in adjusting to different pitches.

While LSG look to regroup, Rajasthan Royals’ all-round performance has lifted them to second place in the points table.
