IPL 2026: Phil Salt, Rajat Patidar power RCB to thrilling win over MI

Brilliant half-centuries from Phil Salt (78) and Rajat Patidar (53) powered Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a 18-run win over Mumbai Indians in a high-profile IPL clash on Sunday.

Virat Kohli added a steady 50 as RCB dominated the innings. In reply, MI started strongly but were hampered by Rohit Sharma’s injury. Sherfane Rutherford kept hopes alive with an unbeaten 71, while Hardik Pandya chipped in with 40. However, disciplined bowling ensured RCB sealed an 18-run win.

The victory marked RCB’s third win in four matches of IPL 2026, pushing them into the top three, while MI slumped to their third consecutive defeat.
