Razaullah’s Stunning 81 Keeps Pakistan Alive As England Chase 130 At Edgbaston

Pakistan finally showed some fight at Edgbaston on Friday as debutant Razaullah produced a stunning late assault to set England a target of 130 in the third Test. Coming in at 318-8, the 21-year-old smashed 81 off just 63 balls, including nine sixes, equalling Tim Southee’s record for the most sixes on Test debut.

Razaullah shared a remarkable 121-run ninth-wicket partnership with Mohammad Abbas, who contributed 42. Earlier, Shan Masood narrowly missed a century after scoring 95, while Babar Azam made 76 as Pakistan recovered from a huge first-innings deficit of 320 runs.

Razaullah was eventually stumped by stand-in wicketkeeper Jordan Cox off Dan Lawrence. He had also taken four wickets in England’s first innings.

Pakistan were bowled out for 449, taking the match into a fourth day. England lead the three-Test series 2-0 and remain favourites to complete a clean sweep.
