Pretorius’ 98* Seals One-Run Thriller as Paarl Royals Edge MI Cape Town
Teen sensation Lhuan-dre Pretorius reignited his Betway SA20 Season 4 with a magnificent unbeaten 98 to steer Paarl Royals to a dramatic one-run victory over MI Cape Town in a Western Cape derby at Boland Park.
Pretorius struck 10 fours and two sixes as the Royals posted a competitive total, narrowly missing a maiden T20 century. MI Cape Town threatened late, but Ottniel Baartman held his nerve, dismissing Kagiso Rabada before defending six off the final ball.
Earlier, Sikandar Raza’s three-wicket burst stalled the chase, while Baartman’s double strike sealed a thrilling Royals win.
